01 — Starting condition
A white-label base with no system underneath.
Spin.io was already live: a crypto-casino on a white-label base, carrying over a thousand games across ten languages. The base worked, but nothing underneath tied it together. Every surface had been styled on its own, so the product drifted from page to page and device to device, and that inconsistency worked against the one thing a casino has to earn: trust. What began as a UX audit made the real scope clear. The gap wasn't on the surface, it was in the structure beneath it.
MAPPING THE PLATFORM
02 — Approach
Every decision made with delivery in mind.
There was real pressure to move fast. The instinct under that pressure is to start drawing screens. The work went the other way. With the platform mapped end to end, the first move was a set of rules rather than a screen: design tokens, spacing, type, and component states, agreed before any surface was finished. That foundation was what made fast delivery possible. Once the rules existed, the platform could be componentised and built in parallel, every surface inheriting the same system instead of being drawn from scratch.
THE FOUNDATIONS, COLOUR AND TYPE

THE COMPONENT LIBRARY

ONE SYSTEM ACROSS EVERY SURFACE
03 — What was delivered
A production-ready design foundation.
The rules became real surfaces. What shipped was a full component system spanning the platform: rewards, VIP, sportsbook, and affiliate, each built once and reused everywhere.
Mobile · VIP, rewards, account, and lobby designed at phone width rather than reduced to it
Rewards system
Four reward mechanics that had been running as disconnected blocks, brought into one coherent system. Cashback, the daily wheel, rakeback, and bonuses now share the same logic, states, and claim behaviour, structured against what the white-label backend could support and worked through with the development team so it shipped as designed.
VIP programme
A six-tier loyalty system structured around the questions a player actually asks: what it is, what each tier gives, how to climb, and how a tier can be lost. The original ran two competing progression concepts at once, so the first job was to resolve them into a single clear XP mechanic, then build one comparison grid where every tier's perks and unlock states read at a glance.
Sports betting
A third-party sportsbook, skinned to Spin's design language and fitted into the platform's navigation so it reads as one product rather than a bolted-on service. Built within the provider's constraints, worked through directly with the developers.
Affiliate system
A complete affiliate product designed from the ground up: marketing page, campaign dashboard, referral and earnings tracking, custom codes, and the empty and error states most designs skip. Built as a full system for a later release.
VIP and rewards · two surfaces, one card system, every state drawn

Sportsbook · third-party, fitted to platform UI

Affiliate Feature · built in full

04 — Outcome
Live, and running on its own terms.
A white-label base became a full production platform: one system across casino, sportsbook, rewards, VIP, and affiliate, shipped under real time pressure and now live. The brand holds across every surface, and the team builds from the system rather than around it.
